BMW X3 Maintenance Schedule

BMW X3 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a BMW X3 means enjoying top-tier performance and luxury, but regular maintenance is key to keeping your vehicle running smoothly. Staying on top of your X3’s maintenance schedule will not only enhance its performance but also extend its lifespan on the roads of Norwood, Westwood, and Dedham, MA.

Here's a breakdown of what BMW services are needed at various mileage intervals.

Every 5,000-10,000 Miles

At the first interval after you start driving your BMW X3, typically around 5,000 to 10,000 miles, you’ll need to perform several basic yet essential maintenance tasks.

First and foremost is an oil change. Your vehicle’s oil should be changed every 10,000 miles or 12 months, depending on which comes first. However, a more regular oil check, say every 5,000 miles or so, can help ensure your X3 is always equipped with clean and healthy oil.

Some other services you may see at this interval include a quick inspection of your brakes as well as a tire rotation.

Brake Service

Every 10,000-15,000 Miles

Around this mileage, you should include additional checks on essential vehicle parts like your brakes, battery, engine, and more. Additionally, you’ll see a handful of routine services such as:

  • Replace Wiper Blades
  • Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Inspect/Replace Coolant
  • Inspect Brake Pads and Rotors

Every 60,000 Miles

The 60,000-mile mark is a fairly significant one in the lifespan of your BMW X3. At this interval, you’ll have several key components replaced.

You can expect your vehicle’s spark plugs, transmission fluid, and tires to all be replaced around this time. Be sure to keep an eye on the condition of your tires, however, as they may need to be replaced sooner.

Every 75,000 Miles

At the 75,000-mile interval, you can expect many of the standard services like an oil change or a tire rotation. Though, there are several other components you’ll want to have inspected at this point, including:

  • Brake Pads, Calipers, and Rotors
  • Cooling System and Hoses
  • Suspension System

Every 90,000-100,000 Miles

As you near 90,000 to 100,000 miles in your BMW X3, another important set of services awaits. Here, you’ll see a complete flush and replacement of your transmission fluid. The driveshaft must also be lubricated to ensure your engine parts are moving without any issues.

The service team will also inspect a number of parts once again like the driveshaft boots, fuel injector, any belts and hoses, as well as the water pump.
